Abstract

Administration and Data Processing curriculum at SMA NU 1 Gresik lessons are done by teachers. After the data is processed, the parents and students are right to know: a) Preparation of annual, semiannual, monthly and weekly work plans; b) Adjustment timetable c) Preparation of the test and the exam schedule d) Preparation of a list of books and tool lessons that will be used in activities for increasing student achievement; e) Preparation of appraisal norms, f) Record and report the results of activities of student achievement; g) Preparation of schedules and plan learning activities in the classroom and outside the classroom. The data is obtained by dividing the paperwork that must be made by the number of teachers' lesson without coordination or discussion made in detail made by the teacher so that there is the possibility of dissentients. By improving the manufacturing system administration curriculum using online, it will have a major impact on the quality of graduates. If the quality of graduates according to the expectations of parents, the community and users of the graduates of customer satisfaction will also increase so that the school will gain great confidence of the public and users of the various elements of graduates.

Abstract

School as a public institution should be able to satisfy their customers. The paradigm of public services in the unit level of education should be shifted from conventional towards the continuously updated condition so that when it is needed it will be ready to provide services (on-service). The administrative staff of school should represent as a public servant who is pro-active, responsive and anticipative to the needs, aspirations and expectations of school stakeholders in accordance to Permendiknas No. 24 of 2008 on Standards of School Administration Staff. Therefore, in addition to mastery a variety of hard skills, which include technical skills, school administrative staff also must be a master of variety of soft skills which are always displayed at the time of providing services to create the customers' satisfaction.

Abstract

One cause of low morale of our current generation is the low morale of teachers and parents. The tendency of the teacher's task is only to transfer of knowledge regardless of the moral values embodied in science. Learning conditions today are very oriented to the acquisition of the figures as the standardization of the quality of education. There are several factors that lead to teacher personality of "less alive" at this time, among other things: 1) The process of recruitment of teachers that emphasizes technical skills (hardskills) without regarding to the ability of non-technical (softskills) such as the ability to manage themselves and others not even a little educational institutions recruiting teacherswith no regard to both skills. 2) Education and training of teachers that only emphasize teachers' ability to master the curriculum, and 3) Do not understand the teaching profession as a professional vocation, meaning that the teacher is helping to develop others. It is time for teacher certification includes instrument / recording morals held by the teacher. The teacher's personality can be judged by the students and the community.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to find out politeness strategies and the dominant politeness strategies in Short Message Service (SMS) text of the students of English period 2008 sent to the lecturers of English from March to May 2012. This study applies qualitative research. Using documentation method, the data are collected from the lecturers' mobile phone by making permission from the lecturers to send the students' SMS that they received to the writer' mobile phone. The data are analyzed using Brown and Levinson's politeness theory (1987). The results reveal that there are four politeness strategies in students' SMS- Bald on Record (BOR), Positive Politeness (PP), Negative Politeness (NP), and Off Record (OR). Negative politeness strategy is dominantly used by the students. But the students' SMS cannot reflect appropriateness in their interpersonal communication to lecturers since the SMS of the students of English period 2008 sent to the lecturers are not consistent with Brown and Levinson's politeness theory, that lower status members tend to be relatively indirect (polite) in their communication to higher-status superior.

Abstract

Each child has a unique and different character. If in one class there are twenty-eight students, then there are twenty-eight different treatments that must be given by an educator. However, such treatment should not cause any jealousy among learners. All children have special needs, but when viewed in general, children with special needs is a child who really needs special handling because of its behavior or deviate from the kids in general. Slow learners child have unique characteristics with a variety of learning problems faced in school. To optimize their potential, it needs a special program designed to suit the educational needs of each individual.

Abstract

Motivation becomes an important part in the successful of teaching learning process. English teachers should concern to find the way in teaching to improve students' motivation.This paper presents the use of interactive video to improve students' motivation in learning English. The writers find some studies which generate that interactive videos plays important roles to increase students motivations. It's not just the teacher play such kind of video then let students watch it, but there are such kind of video which can gain students interaction and some steps to implement it. The result is using interactive video can improve students' motivation in learning English, but this method needs some equipment which doesn't have in all school.

Abstract

Legislation No. 14 of 2005 on Teachers and Lecturers article 35 paragraph 1 of the workload of teachers include diapers that plan learning activities, implementing learning, assessing learning outcomes, participant guide and train students and carry out additional duties. Teacher is a major factor in the overall educational process. As an educator, the teacher holds a lot of different roles to perform. The role is a particular pattern of behavior which are characteristics all officers of a particular job or position. The role of the teacher is any pattern of behavior that are characteristic of professorship teachers to do the job. This role includes various types of patterns of behavior, both in activities within the school and outside of school. Teachers who are considered good are those who succeed in these roles. It plays as well as possible, meaning that it can show a pattern of behavior in accordance with his position and accepted by the environment and society. Optimizing the role of guidance and counseling to all residents, especially school teacher empowerment is one alternative in providing services to students. So it is in need or presented a teacher who can handle it all, where teachers have met the criteria, and the expertise that address the problem students, to provide guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

We often recognize that good teaching is capable of stimulating individual potency through optimizing the power of group learning. Many education experts also agree that the learning groups are very much beneficial for learners primarily on cognitive and affective development. Two approaches are often raised and many practitioners of education refer to the model of cooperative learning and collaborative learning. This paper further discusses the basic principles and the different uses of the two approaches. The author hopes this paper can provide appropriate information on the use of the two learning approaches.

Abstract

Education as a system is composed of human endeavor as a concept that can be justified to give birth to a generation capable of preserving human values and high moral standing. Demands of the changing times have altered the global nature of human behavior became ucontrollable. As a manifestation of the government's responsibility it is necessary to national education standards as a means of control and controlling the dynamics of the education system with all its consequences. Through a process of national education standards of learning system constructed should be in line with the national objective in order to cultivate human values, forming awareness about the importance of civilized behavior that reflects human dignity.
